Both FG and ASUU are not doing any good, as such, we have to call for a truce, we need both to settle at a middle point thereby proposing the following deal;
The ASUU and NASU should accept IPPIS, however, the Federal Govt. should make modifications to IPPIS by creating a small secretariat in each university such that all university staffs can have easy access to IPPIS customer service for complaints, as well, the unnecessary deductions of salaries, irregularities and high tax should be put to hold and return to normal. Withheld salaries should as well be paid.
Under good democracy and political leadership, the FG is supposed to increase the salaries of those registered on IPPIS to lure others but considering the economy, at least their salary should be as it is, to tax them more or deduct their final income is not helping at all.
FG is fully aware; the ASUU & NASU will never accept deductions to there salary, while ASUU & NASU are also aware FG will not back down on IPPIS, so let all parties compromise for better Nigeria.

I honestly did not think this would gain this much steam but here we are and it makes me think maybe people are finally tired of the constant back and forth. It is wild to see so many people agreeing that we just need a middle ground because honestly the constant stalling is exhausting for everyone involved and the students are the ones paying the heaviest price.

The educational background of every child is more relevant than anything in thier life. We can't sit and watch the old destroy our future.

It is high time this has to stop, students being taking for a fool. It is not a crime to school in this country.
Enough is Enough. The Nigerian students have suffered too much due to incessant industrial actions by ASUU and other academic Union for crimes that are not their. The are not graduating on time and are being delayed into Oblivion by the selfishness of ASUU and FG. Lets think about the Nigerian students first. Let's end ASUUstrike. #EndASUUstrikeNow.

Nigerians were granted freedom-1960 and began governance in 1963 till date. Yet decades have unfold us in a dark shape. Poor educational standard and crisis to mention amongst others. It is no doubt that our heroes made the way to gaining freedom via education. But today, failure in our educational sector has become overwhelming. “Great interests are the rewards when we invest in knowledge”. The significance of education to a country cannot be overemphasized, in most parts of the universe, knowledge is often considered as a fundamental human right. It is indeed one of the basic criteria to measure the growth and advancement of any nation. Should you want to destroy a nation eliminate their education. Nigeria has become the leading origin of African students moving to other nations of the world for quality education. Surprisingly, these our neglected Nigerian students do awesomely to the top in European and American institutions. We can see then that there’s a problem. What’s the problem?. Poor funding; Poor infrastructure and training facilities – most Nigerian schools are in bad states. In most cases, the teaching environment is not conducive. Schools lack practical or technical facilities. Lack of standard and up-to-date practical facilities makes education to be rather theoretical and quantitative than experimental and qualitative; Failure to accommodate the rising population; Lack of dedication from teachers; Corruption. This is just on the path of education. Nigeria accounts for a greater percent of African population other than other African Countries. Studies shows that one out of four Africans is a Nigerian, in fact Nigeria was the seventh world most populous country in 2019 (200,963.60 – world bank) and sixth in 2020 (214,028,302 – United States Census). When two Elephant are fighting, the grasses suffered. ASUU and Federal Government are not helping the future of the Country by making the Educational sector of the Country to be a playing. I know they are doing such because must of the leaders of both the ASUU national exco and the Government personal responsible for morning and handling the isue of the ASUU strike, their children are not studying in Nigeria. But the poor masses of the country they are ones suffering thus. Therefore, I call on both the ASUU and Federal Government to see the Future of the country and called the students to continue with their studies.
