Dear Members of the Board:

For the sake of building a Young Community who are the future of this club, the Young Members ask the Board of Governors to consider eliminating the household assessment charges entirely (for Young Members under 35) and, instead, raise the annual dues for Young Members to $1,000 per year. The reasoning behind this request has been outlined in the following points:

1) Members understand and support the club and its need to maintain the building infrastructure, however, this is the third household fee young members have been charged with in just four years.

2) With the household assessment fee, the club’s Young Members are paying essentially a 50% addition to their annual dues, and as a result, many are seriously considering whether they will continue their membership at the club, quite a few have already resigned.

3) Given that the club is trying to incentivize more young members to join, one would think that the NAC would want to make it easier for existing Young Members to maintain their membership - not harder.

I have garnered the signatures of the below Club Members who agree with my sentiment and support this proposition.
