Ekaterina to stay in YMCA Halifax to Ms.Miller
Dear Ms.Miller
We are the Russian speakers, newcomers and YMCA clients writing to you in connection to the Ekaterina’s Calderon Lamotte leave from the center.
Having to say that there are a lot of Russian speakers from the different countries that have settled in Halifax and there is a high percent of the newcomers among them as well.
As you probably know that the immigration and adaptation process to the new country with the completely new environmental conditions could be very complicated and tough for a lot of people. In order to ease the exhausting process the YMCA is established. One of the standards of morals and aesthetical values is to provide the necessary support and advice to the newcomers when is required.
Unfortunately, we have recently been noticed about Ekaterina’s leave from the center. This was really heartbreaking announcement that caused and affected us to feel very sorry about that.
We know Ekaterina for more than one year. She performed her job taks in a very professional, empathic, affective, amiable and diligent manner. Due to the fact that Ekaterina is a Russian speaker as well, consequently, she played an important role as an our community representative. Thanks to her we have been acknowledged the Canadian culture, the incredible and engaging family winter and summer activities. Additionally, Ekaterina had always made the consistent announcements about the different activities which had been provided in the YMCA center or just outdoor. Thanks to those various activities our life has been changed. For instance, our life style has become much more active and healthier. We got many new Canadian and newcomers’ friends. All of those provided activities which we had attended have been playing a significant role in our life. It has a holistic positive impact on the mental and physical health and that’s very important to have for us as parents and to our kids as well. Furthermore, Ekaterina had consistently organized awesome and engaging family activities. She was always willing to help and provide the needed support with the translation, filling the forms and etc.
We all hope to see Ekaterina in the YMCA as one of the quality and Russian representative in the nearest future. All of us need her!
Please don’t let Ekaterina leave the YMCA! It will be a huge lost to the center and the YMCA clients as well!
Thank you for consideration and cooperation.
Sincerely,
YMCA clients
