South East London is one of the most neglected areas in the capital, being affected for decades by bad transport connections. Bromley is one of the largest council in London , is only a few miles from central London, yet it takes a log longer than it should, when compared e.g. to South West London, due to its poor transport links. Most residents have to travel into central London by bus or train, with long journey times. As the Mayor of London considers his 2020 Vision and plans for major infrastructure investment in the next decade, we call on him to commit to extending theDLRline to Bromley in order to improve public transport for current and future residents, and to help bring jobs and growth to this part of London. Better and faster transport connections, like the DLR lineto Canary Wharf and Bank stations, can help revive and regenerate the economy and close the divide between north and south of the river and between west/south west London and east/south east London. We believe it is about time South East London can grow at par with the rest of the capital, a regenerated South East is good for the whole of London. Help us with this cause please !
