To all who live in the Dunstable area, I have lived in Dunstable since I was born and even as a child when we lived in Douglas Creasent I remember being fascinated with our train line, At the time it was only running the cement works train back and forth form the works to the storage sites. That was 22 years or so ago and to this day I still believe we are all sitting on a potential gold mine for our town, if the line were to re-open the whole town could prosper for example. 1. House prices would rise 2. More jobs available to re-open and run the trains 3. We would be a proper commuting town for London which would bring growth to our town and in turn would attract well known shops, restaurants, bars and the possibility of day visitors (being as we have a very pretty and well established church for whom a very infamous royal king had his first devorce their, plus other historical and beautiful sites) 4. More housing would be required as more potential people would like to move into the area, this again makes jobs available Did you now that Dunstable is the biggest town in the south east of England without a train station. I know there is talk of this busway happening, well that has been going on for around 10 years or so, who wants to gets a bus when we could do that now plus when you could get a train potentially into London in around 40 minutes. I ask you all, there are approximately 38,000 people living in this town, please take a look and sign this petition as I would be glad to put it before the council if not the government. Thank you

The busway is not enough for a town of our size and the commute times by train would change everything for us. Email your local council representative today to demand they prioritize rail over long-term bus plans. Post this link on your Facebook feed so our neighbors see that we are finally ready to push for a station.

Reaching this level of support shows that people are finally done with the excuses about our transport links. Call your local representative today and demand they push for the train line to be our town's top priority.

There is so much residential construction in Dunstable but absolutely nothing being done to reduce the flow of traffic, especially on the M1.

PLEASE get this sorted. It takes forever to get anywhere without a car and the traffic in the mornings is just getting worse every single year.

The commute to London is a nightmare right now. Sitting on the bus for an hour is not a long term solution for anyone.
