Whether it be combined in another lesson or a stand alone subject, our aim is to stamp out political apathy and to inspire young people by teaching them about politics from a young age.

#EducateUs is everything it says on the tin. Help us help them by singing the petition and working with us to make Political Education compulsory in all schools across the UK.

Together we can educate and inspire!

The government continues to ignore the fact that they are leaving a generation completely blind to how our own system operates. I am currently reaching out to educational boards that are terrified of letting students think for themselves. Do not let these bureaucrats think this issue is going away quietly.

We represent the most disenfranchised, disheartened generation in history. Everyone that follows in our wake will be no different Other countries lead us in imparting a sense of the world to in its youth. Maybe if we knew more about our neighbours we'd be less afraid, more respectful, and more empowered.

I believe that youth disengagement and political apathy can be directly combatted with education and discussion of the issues that affect/will affect them later in life. I also think that an education and understanding of political issues and debates will encourage young people to think for themselves, and not walk blindly into ignorance and intollerance.

Political awareness and education at school level is very important. I support this initiative.

I don't know why politics isn't a compulsory subject in all schools, we need new and younger politicians in Parliament.
