I sign this on behalf of myself and the students I represent as President of BarSoc. University is a place where we students grow up. For many of us University is the first time we've been away from home: first time we cook meals, do our washes, live in houses of our own and for many the first time we vote. If the University is able to make that experience easier where the government hasn't bothered it would mean the University has gone above and beyond in directly improving the lives of its students, by allowing us to have a voice in the most important process this country has; something we students would be eternally grateful for.
