This petition is for all Drexel University Photography students to demand the darkroom/digital labs be open on saturdays and for longer hours on weekdays/weekends. Also to increase security in the Academic building to finally put an end to stolen laptops ipods and camera equipment. All of this can be achieved simply by hiring more staff. Currently everything relies on Mike and Kassena, not only is that unfair and stressful to them, but to us as well because the darkroom depends heavily on its staff for equipment check-out and wet lab use. So sign this petition to help out Mike and Kassena and to help all photo students feel safer and less stressed by providing security and longer working hours in the Academic building. This petition will be presented by Paul, who has our full support, along with a letter explaining why these necessary changes must be made.

Seeing this much energy behind the darkroom issue is honestly kind of surreal because I remember when it was just me and a few friends complaining about the locked doors on a Saturday morning. I really hope the administration is paying attention now because Mike and Kassena shouldn't have to carry the whole department on their backs while we worry about our gear getting swiped.

Mike and Kassena are overworked as it is. Adding security and more hours is just common sense at this point.

Its honestly ridiculous that we cant get into the lab on the weekends. I have so much film to develop and nowhere to do it.
