Dress code rules in Crabapple Middle School are too extreme. Students are being over sexualized for wearing leggings. Female students are being treated like our bodies aren't ours and it's our fault for distracting the boys. Please sign this to prove that the dress code is too extreme.
I have been reading your messages about how these clothing rules impact your daily lives and the stories are honestly heartbreaking. It is truly humbling to see that so many people care about this because I initially thought I was the only one who felt this way. Please keep sharing your thoughts because your experiences are the only reason anyone is paying attention to this now.

This is super unfair and people should be able to wear whatever they want. Teachers say that they want us to grow up, so choosing your clothiers is a part of that

don't sexualize young girls and try to teach your students to not view women as objects or as just that one body part.

That is terrible and unacceptable for middle school girls to be sexualized. Your education is most important and should not be compromised because male students/teachers cannot control themselves. Dress codes are inherently misogynistic. And administration claiming outfits are "distracting to males" is also heteronormative. Good luck, you are brave and smart and wonderful!

This is so unfair! In saying that a girl can not wear shorts or leggings because it is to distracting. You are saying that men deserve a better a eduacation than she does. This isn't right. Crabapple has become too strict do to the actions of a few out of place students. Girls and Women SHOULD NOT be shamed for their bodies. Especially at this age girls should be allowed to express themselves in an appropriate manner.
