We here at Bedford High School think that the door monitors should be doing their job (watching the doors) instead of spending their time walking the halls and asking people questions such as "where ya headed". Furthermore I believe their opinion on their outfit should stay to themselves. I have also openly seen the monitors point at various students while whispering about them. There have been several accounts of the door monitors sending people back who had passes made by their teacher.

I just spent the morning reading through the stories you all are leaving about the monitors and it honestly makes my blood boil because school is stressful enough without feeling like you are being hunted in the hallways. I am still trying to figure out how to get this in front of the administration since they have been acting like they are too busy to notice that half the student body is fed up with these constant interrogations.

I never thought so many people would actually care about those monitors hanging out in the hallways but it feels like the whole school is finally on the same page. It is honestly kind of wild to see this blow up because I really just wanted to be able to go to class without someone questioning my shirt or blocking the door when I have a legitimate pass.

I think they should watch the doors and keep Their opinions to themselves bc my shorts are finger tip length and they want me to change ??!
The door ladies sent me to Mrs. Materni today for a penalty hall over not having a pass to Mr. Smiths even though he wasn't here yesterdat to give me one. I didn't go to Materni I went to Smith for a pass. I have watched a door lady follow a girl down the hallway to tell her that her shorts are too short. So when someone shoots up our school I'm gonna say that it's the door lady's fault for leaving her door position to stalk a girl down the hallway.
I agree. They aren't getting paid to follow us. They're getting paid to be a false sense of security from the 'ever present threat of a school shooting'. Really. Let us use the bathroom or get food without questioning us. Not all of us are up to no good. And why stop kids from using the vending machines? What else are they here for???
They never let me go to the vending machines when I forget my lunch or don't have enough to buy :(

Exactly, like there's not a time where they won't target you or someone else going down the hallway and you can't even take different routes around the school because they find you or they are walking around and not staying at their designated area. There's a reason why we don't have hall monitors and we shouldn't even have door monitors because of this reason. They don't know what they're doing. They torment kids 50 years younger then them and they have no right to say I was being rude when I said smd to one of them like fr they deserved it. So thank you for the lovely Friday I had to spend because I was stating what everyone else was afraid to say.

One time I had my softball stuff (that I keep down in the old locker rooms) I started walking back there and they decide to follow me into the locker rooms (leaving the doors unattended) just to tell me to put it in one of my teachers classes. I'm supossed to put my bag in the locker room, just like how the door lady's are supossed to watch the doors, Not the kids inside the school doing nothing wrong.
