CNR Health Care Network (CNR) is trying to rezone Lefferts Place from R6B to R7A. CNR wants to build a facility that does not comply with the current zoning designation for Lefferts Place. In 2007, we, as a community, unanimously supported the current zoning designation to R6B to protect and preserve the current character of our neighborhood. Now CNR wants to undo all of the work we've done to protect our neighborhood. If the rezoning is approved, CNR will be able to create an out-of-context building in our neighborhood that is similar to the buildings on Atlantic, Fulton and Myrtle Avenues. This building, and any other building that complies with R7A zoning, will be out of character with the other buildings on Lefferts Place and will substantially impact the density of our block. Please help us protect brownstone Brooklyn. Keep CNR from changing the character of our neighborhood. This petition will be sent to NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, Brooklyn Council Member Letitia James, Brooklyn Community Board 2, the New York City Department of City Planning and the Board of Standards and Appeals.

Ridiculous. They keep trying to shove these massive towers into neighborhoods that werent built for them. Enough is enough.

Totally against this. The infrastructure here cant handle the extra density and everyone knows it.

Keep our block brownstones! R7A will totally wreck the vibe of the street.

Lefferts Place is fine the way it is. We dont need another big ugly building ruining the whole block.
