The board of directors of Harris park are considering appointing an individual that does not have the best interest for your tax dollars. Harris park metro district is a government entity that receives tax/mill levy from your property taxes. These taxes go to support our lakes and recreational activities. Jimmy Graham is a convicted felon. He was guilty of a class 3 and class 4 felony for unlawful distribution of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to 8 years in prison in the year 2000.
Would you trust someone with this type of conviction with your tax dollars? He does not want recreational activities. Harris Park rec team host several activities throughout the year. There are several other candidates that can be appointed to the board that have high qualifications in government and accounting. Reaching this level of support has been a long climb but seeing so many of you insist on accountability gives me the energy to keep going. I know this is a difficult fight against an entrenched board but your willingness to speak up keeps me locked in. We have a long road ahead before they listen to us.

Although I certainly believe in forgiveness, I am more bothered by the fact that he is not interested in activities. Our community has just stated getting involved in activities and I really want that to continue. It brings us together and creates who we are as a friendly, welcoming Harris Park community!
The fact that this is even an issue is completely unacceptable, appointing a felon over other qualified candidates is pure insanity and brings in to question the integrity of the entire board.
We need someone like Mercedes who is trustworthy and has Harris Park as well as the residents in their best interest. It is apparent that Jimmy Graham does not and would not make a good fit for this community.
We need someone with experience and motivation looking to help our community. I do not believe this man has us in his best interest, only his own interests.
Anyone but Jimmy Graham.
Not only a felon but part of a meth ring that destroyed lives and families

I'm not involved in much other then bingo because I am too busy. BUT it's nice to have the option to do things without leaving the neighborhood so I would hate to see that part of this community go away. I do have to say this is the only reason I hope this man does not get appointed and has nothing to do with his conviction. I believe people can change and a drug conviction could be a lot worse
