We want change to the Blood Ban in the UK. We want to be able to do something amazing, we want to give blood. We want to save a life. We want to shake off the opinion that we are bad blood, that we are riddled with disease, that we are promiscuous. We can have monogamous relationships, we can get married, we can have a family.

We can get a joint bank account, a car or a mortgage. We love and we provide, we contribute. We want to contribute our blood, even if we are negative of Hepatitis and HIV, we're still discriminated against.

We are gay men, we are bi-men and we are straight men. We love man, we want to help. But herein lies the problem we have had sexual contact with another man, even if 20 years ago, we can't donate. Even if we only tried it once, we can't donate. Unfair? We think so. We support NUS UK's Donation, not Discrimination campaign. We are the Aberdeen University Student Association.

Join this petition to show your support to amendment of the Blood Ban in the UK. If you are a gay man and haven't had sex with another man, please donate. If you are able to give blood, please donate. Many gay men would love to be able to help but can't due to criteria. Save a life. Give blood.
