This policy is stuck in the 80s. Blood is blood and we are facing shortages anyway so why turn away healthy donors?
Ridiculous discrimination. Glad someone is finally talking about this.
My brother is gay and he has been in a committed relationship for 15 years. It is ridiculous that he cannot help save a life just because of who he loves.
It makes no sense. The screening questions should focus on actual risky behavior not who your partner is.
Total nonsense. My friend tried to donate and got turned away despite being clean and perfectly healthy. Update the rules already.
