The town council has officially voted to revise the regulations for mobile vendors. It is rewarding to see our collective efforts translate into a more accessible environment for local food innovation. I look forward to seeing the first new trucks serving our community soon.

In the Town of Lillington Food Trucks are viewed as a temporary use and are regulated similar to special events like carnivals and fairs. The application process for a business to have a food truck out is long complicated. If you believe that food trucks can bring added value to the Town and help to get more people from the surrounding areas to experience what Lillington has to offer please sign this petition. We will bring this to the Town meeting on July 14th to try and update the rule regarding food trucks.

I see no reason an individual or business can't do what they wish with their own property. Shouldn't Lillington want the sales tax from the food sales that would otherwise be made elsewhere?

Food trucks get people into Lillington to see what we have to offer the world. People are not stoping in Lillington because it is a drive thru town. We want it to be a destination for families and the community at large.

Food trucks add to the diversity in a community and should be seen as an asset. I have not seen a study that shows any significant loss of brick and mortar establishments due to the presence of food trucks. More choices bring more consumers to an area. Increased foot traffic is good for all businesses.

Please allow food trucks to come to Lillington. It helps to support the economy in a different way than the brick and mortar restaurants do, without taking away from the sales and business from brick and mortar. It offers variety and the social aspect in going to a brewery!!

This is a great opportunity and will do nothing but bring MORE people to downtown. Maybe if we encourage foot traffic it wont be a ghost town after 5pm.

We definitely need food trucks or we can’t survive drinking the beer. We go to multiple breweries and they always have food trucks. It’s ridiculous not to allow the opportunity to have food trucks at Belleau Wood brewery. There are no options for food past 7pm we prefer in town. Thank you!!

Shame on Lillington for not letting us support a local business during this difficult time for all. Food trucks bring people to Lillington.

Lillington needs a larger variety of food options like food trucks. It adds value to the community and others, while supporting local businesses.
