Food trucks serve the greater Jersey City community. They add another option to the ordinary mundane food selection, oftentimes a healthier diet and culture. Currently, food trucks are forced to park in restricted zones in order to provide convenient service to our customers. We see no reason why the food trucks should not be allowed to service the residents and workers that want to eat our food each day -- we want to create food vending zones where we are allowed to park without getting forcded out in the middle of service.
The Jersey City food truck operators have joined forces on this issue because we wholeheartedly believe that as small business owners we are contributing to the greater good of our local community while offering customers diversity in their daily food options.

This petition will be presented on August 25, 2010 to Jersey City's Elected Officials in an effort to create permanent food vending areas.
