We are continually being bombarded, on a local and national level, about extreme acts of violence and thuggery on poor defenceless individuals.
In tonight's Manchester Evening News, an elderly gentleman was battered and beaten during a burglary, to such an extent that his bruised n battered face is unrecognisable.
We demand, judges get tough...stop passing sentences FOR ANY CRIME that are a joke.You do the CRIME you deserve a sentence that is not only a deterrent to others, but punishes the perpetrator.We are sick to death of hearing about HUMAN RIGHTS of the criminals and ridiculously lenient sentences.

My stomach turned, when I saw the pictures of Alfiero. Unutterably sad to think of some person doing this to a 77 year old defenseless gentleman. I hope Alfiero soon recovers, physically at least. One cannot begin to think how long the mental scars will take to heal, if they ever do!
