Nissan finally folded and agreed to the full recall program which feels completely surreal after all the emails and sleepless nights wondering if my truck was going to snap in half on the highway. I am honestly still reeling because this actually happened and it is because you all stuck …

We call upon Nissan to step up and take responsibility for the atrocious corrosion currently being seen in Nissan Navara chassis between 6 and 10 years old. This rot is not caused by offroading or overloading or even towing. It is caused by substandard materials and/or poor design

The advertised load carrying capacity of a Navara is around 960Kg (model dependent) with a towing capacity of around 3000kg (with a braked trailer) and at the moment I and countless others are scared to even fill the tank.

If nothing is done soon, lives will be lost.

We cannot all afford to just chalk it up to experience, and buy another car.

I spent the entire morning scrolling through these comments and it is honestly terrifying to see how many people are driving around in vehicles that feel like ticking time bombs underneath. My inbox has been overflowing with photos of snapped frames and rusting metal which I am currently trying to organize into some sort of formal report for headquarters even though I have no idea if they will even bother to open it.

My Nissan Pathfinder is my everyday car used to carry myself, wife and two young children, I need to know my family are in a safe vehicle but unfortunately with this car, the possible failure of the chassis is a constant worry. Nissan need to also consider the safety of their customers.

Having my truck inspected by the RAC they told me not to drive it off the car park. Nissan the told me it's fine to drive until they have chance to inspect it themselves! Someone will end up hurt or even dead! Quick at taking money not quick at sorting problems out!

My 2005 Pathfinder T-Spec is now nothing more than scrap thanks to my rotten chassis. Have had a friend kindly spend his whole day cutting out rust and welding in plates but the rot is bad my local garage refuse to lift the vehicle in order to fit the new clutch kit I've just spent £400 on. Disgusted that a chassis can be so bad after 11 years of NO off-road driving and careful ownership.

My 08 Navara failed catastrophically near the M6 after a trip to the lakes. had to be taken home by the AA at some expense and had to have my chassis plated to fix the problem also at some expense. I will not buy another Nissan.

I have a Nissan navara 57 plate which just failed it's MOT the tester has said this would not be long before this one snapped. Something needs to be done to resolve this issue before someone gets hurt or worse.

As a used car buyer ( private ) I'd be devastated to buy such a great looking truck and it to be a liability to me and anyone riding in it, gutted to strike it off my bucket list :-(
