They are rezoning the school boundry lines and there was/is talk about splitting the Meadows at Morris Farm Community to where the North side will stay at GlenKirk Elemetary school and the South side will have to move to PineyBranch.
The Definition of COM-MU-NI-TY 1. A group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common. A group of people living together in one place, especially one practicing common ownership.
2. A feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.
We pay HOA fees for the North side of our community where Glenkirk Elementary is located. If we are paying HOA fees to maintain that side of the neighborhood we should go to the school located on that side of the neighborhood.

This effects all the students, friends, activities (like cub scouts). The neighborhood should stay at 1 school!

One of the main reasons we decided to live in this neighborhood is because of proximity and ability to walk to the elementary school.

Our neighborhood is a tight knit community. We have so many community events throughout the year that are well attended. Our swimming pool is our summer playground where friendships and relationships are kindled and maintained. Gainesville is a better place due to strong communities like ours and so many others in this area. To split apart a community like ours in order to satisfy a school need will do more harm than good in the long run. Keep Morris Farm together!

Keeping the community of Morris Farms starts with a school where the entire community will attend. Dividing the community into two separate school would lead to a divide in community environment.

We once were a split community while we were being built. Known as the North side and the South side, with two HOA's. Our neighborhood was divided in spirit then too. As the Activities Committee Chair of our ONE community, I have worked really hard on bringing our community and it's members together as one. We are Morris Farm, despite which side of Rollins Ford we live on. Splitting our neighborhood would tear that work, that unity, down that All of us in Morris Farm have worked so hard at establishing. Please keep us united.
