Hinchingbrooke School are rushing through another uniform change (3rd in 2 years) without proper consultation with parents regarding cost and with students regarding style. The timescales are unacceptable, the uniform change needs more consultation and should be proposed from September 2015.
Us parents will not be buying the black/grey uniform we've seen pictures of.

My son has only just started and now we have to buy a whole new set of clothes. Its just a massive waste of money and completely unfair on families who are already struggling.
This is a 120 year iconic tradition dating back to the 'free' school prior to the grammar. I thought we were supposed to be teaching our children to be proud of their culture and history as well as being aware of the environmental issues. Not only are 1000's of parents going to have to pay out for an unexpected change but there will be a mountain of perfectly good clothing that cannot be passed down or given away to be worn. This is senseless! Expensive! Ignoring local history! It is wrong in so many ways. Every child should have had a chance to vote because every child matters! They didn't get a say, nor did the parents, the ratio of people asked was not proportionate to the size of the community involved.
Ridiculous. No one asked us about this, they just decided and told us to pay. I wont be buying the new kit.
Absolutely outrageous. I can not believe the school will not meet with those parents who have shown real concerns by the loss of the colour Green. Green is known as the colour of the county and goes back to the earl of sandwich. I have spoken to so many parents and pupils who are supporting the keep Hinchingbrooke Green campaign, how does that make us a small minority. The timescale is so we cannot protest long enough to change it. Simply outrageous!!!

WHY ARE THEY CHANGING IT AGAIN?! Green is what the school is known for. Stop changing things just for the sake of it.
