The magnet program at Eastern changed my life. Because of it, I learned skills, and am graduating from college a year earlier than planned. Without Eastern Tech's Magnet Program, I would not have known what I wanted to do for the rest of my life
My two sons went to EVT for machine shop, they now have great jobs in management and manufacturing, then EVT cut the program, that was a horrible decision, machine shop jobs are in high demand, now this decision, another "BAD ONE"
Without,Eastern Tech's allied health program, I would have never found my passion for medicine, nor would I have been able to pursue it at such a young age. It have me experience and knowledge for nursing school that no other high school could have.
I can personally vouch that the IT program offered by the school has helped me with scholarship opportunities, build my resume, and land jobs. I'm sure other majors will have people vouch for them. The system at this school is working, why change it?
Eastern Tech is an amazing school that has prepared my daughter and is currently preparing my son for a bright future. Why would you want to change a Blue Ribbon school that has done so much for our children. Please do not change ET.
My son has a better job and life thanks to the program.
grad of 1999 engineering. this school has made my entire life. if I didn't get the electrical background and the ecperience s of building an electric truck I wouldn't be able to do the things I do in my current job. don't change making it hard to get in and harder to stay molds great kids into great adults.

I think Balto. Co. should look at schools loike Poly and City that have existed as "Magnet " schools for over 100 years. There would never be any talk of changing them. My grandson is being pushed to an education he could not get anywhere else in the County.
