Most students in Antioch schools do not meet the standards, and the numbers are even worse for students of color. Only 8% of African American students are proficient in Math, and 15% of Latino students. This is unacceptable and something has to be done.
The many families, teachers and community members signing this petition are supportive of Tech Antioch and want Antioch’s public school system to be the best it can be. We believe that bringing an additional public school option to the community through Tech Antioch will benefit everyone.
Tech Antioch’s goal is to help solve an urgent problem: the academic outcomes for Antioch students. As parents who want the best for our kids, we are eager for a new option.
We are excited about the personalized learning and project-based learning that Tech Antioch plans to offer. We believe this model will help students connect their academic work to real-world scenarios, preparing them for success as professionals.
We’re also very supportive of Tech Antioch’s commitment to the individual needs of each student through mentorship and activities that will build important social and emotional skills like collaboration and communication.
For many local parents, including those whose children are not doing well in the traditional system, Tech Antioch represents a beacon of hope.
We urge you to continue to support Tech Antioch so that it can provide a new learning option for families like ours and create a more vibrant local public school system.

The feedback coming in from local families is heavy because so many of you are feeling the same exhaustion with the current school results. I have been spending my nights sending emails to local board members and waiting for some sign that they are actually listening to us.

We need this in contra Costa county. Rocketship Academy onky goes to 5rh grade. We as parents want a choice.
Think first of the students and support parent choice. Teachers and the education bureaucracy are not the decision-makers for students.
My son needs a program geared and sensitive to a child with ADHD. Smaller classrooms and specialized attention. This is what this school offers.
We need an option for our children!!! Choice choice choice.... Not an obligation our children Matter!!!
