On Wednesday 13th of May 2015, the second year Actuarial Science students of Cass Business School had sat the Financial Economics paper. The majority of students had found this paper extremely difficult and are not happy with what was being tested. We had studied extremely hard for this exam and although we had all done the relevant reading along with class exercises and past papers, the paper had questions that we were not at all prepared for. We had all read the exam preparation file that was sent to us by the module lecturer and followed what he had said but the paper had not done justice to the amount of time we had spent on preparation for this paper. It explains that the paper will 'resemble questions that we worked through in class and questions that appear in the exercise sheets.' I'm sure if you have a glance at the paper you will also see our point of view.

This petition was created in order for an action to be taken place as the result of this paper will be on our transcripts. Most students will have to fly back from different countries in order to resit an extremely difficult exam that should have been passed first time.

Kindly acknowledge this petition as we are all very disheartened due to us feeling that the exam was not a fair paper to test us on the knowledge we have got and resources we were given to sit it and take action accordingly.
