I spent the afternoon digging through old team photos and thinking about how many lives Coach Cook truly shaped on that track. These stories keep coming in from former athletes who remember his guidance long after graduation. I am still pushing the board to recognize his legacy because his influence on our community deserves to be marked in stone.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels like the community finally acknowledging everything Coach Cook poured into our lives over the years. It means the world to see so many of you who knew his impact stepping up to ensure his legacy at the track is secured.

about time. this guy gave his whole life to the program and the students. do the right thing board.
Coach Cook deserves this honor more than anyone. Truly made an impact on my life.
Coach Cook was the best. He put in so many years for the kids at this school. Name the track after him already.
LEGEND. He taught me everything I know about track. This is the least we can do for him.

Long overdue. He stood by that track every single afternoon for decades. Put his name on it.
