We, the undersigned, fully acknowledge the tremendous educational impact of Diane Wiener on our professional and personal lives. We believe that she is an asset to the Binghamton University Social Work Department, and the profession of social work in general. We believe that granting Diane Wiener tenure secures that future BU educated social workers hear points of view that may be suppressed, or otherwise unvisited by other social work professors.

Moreover, we believe that by not granting Diane Wiener tenure, Binghamton University will be losing a great and talented professor who dedicated her professional life to the benefit of social work students, and the profession of social work in general.

Reaching this point has been an exhausting uphill climb but seeing this level of backing helps me push through the fatigue. I am not stopping now because the importance of keeping Diane in this department remains clear to all of us.

She is the best professor I had in the department hands down. Tenure makes total sense.

Ridiculous that her tenure is even a question. Her classes were the only ones that actually prepared me for work in the field. KEEP HER!!

Diane helped me understand so much in my clinical courses. She really challenges us to think outside the box and learn about the real world. Binghamton needs more profs like her.
