Final supporters
Schoolies is a time for all year 12 students to relax, unwind and celebrate the completion of 13 years of schooling through partying, excessive consumption of alcohol and many regretable actions.
But I am being denied this basic human right.
After suffering the tragedy of being left hanging after my french oral, my mother has rubbed salt (if not acid) into my wounds.
Without any discussion, my mother has forced me and my friends under her iron thumb of dictatorship by deciding to accompany us to our beach house for Schoolies. No this is not a joke.
This will result in continual stress for the whole group of us as we will constantly have to be aware of our actions and be unable to completely relax. Who knows, she might witness immoral and irresponsible actions such as not brushing teeth or any other scandalous behaviour that takes place during schoolies.

My mom actually asked why my phone keeps vibrating and I had to tell her it was just a group chat glitch which was definitely a lie because it is all of you guys signing this. I am hiding in my closet right now typing this because the tension at dinner is literally unbearable and she still refuses to even consider letting us have the house to ourselves for one weekend.

I am so sorry to hear of this, it is truly a new sort of punishment when a parent wishes to attend a schoolies trip. If I can be of any more help, please feel free to reach out. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your friends xxxxx
Article 7 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights clearly states that no individual shall be subject to "torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment". I believe that the circumstances at hand, with the individual's mother accompanying him and his friends on their trip is a gross violation of international standards, and as of such am in support of this petition. If this does not resolve the issue, then I believe that the matter should be taken to a higher authority, such as the International Criminal Court.
Hello mum of this poor child, You may want your son to be well behaved and safe, but after all these years of school that create more stress than being a mass murderer (fact) you are the last thing he needs. Give him just one small week to loosen up, after thirteen years of being wound up :) he will be okay
Almost as bad as the Holocaust, this could be the greatest tragedy of the 21st Century. I pray she changes her mind.
