It has come to our attention as parents of Riverview Elementary (RE) students and/or community members with knowledge of RE news that Wendy Weeks has been notified that she will not be returning to RE as a 5th grade teacher as previously planned & announced.
The undersigned assume a decision was made with limited information. Our purpose here is to make sure those involved in the decision making process get a more comprehensive look at Mrs. Weeks and her skills. Mrs. Weeks is an invaluable asset to RE and by signing below, we are stating that removing Mrs. Weeks from her previously announced 5th grade position will be a great detriment to the RE community.
Should you need personal accounts on how our children flourished under Mrs. Weeks, we would be happy to give those to you. We humbly and sincerely ask you to evaluate Mrs. Weeks based on her performance history.

I have finalized the formal letter requesting a review of the decision regarding the fifth grade staffing. This document will be delivered to the district administration office tomorrow morning to ensure they have the full context of our position.

Seems like admin has no idea what happens in the actual classroom. She is a top tier teacher.
my daughter was struggling so much until she got into mrs weeks class. she finally likes school now. please bring her back!!
Total incompetence by the principal. Fix this before the school year starts.
so sad to hear this. the school wont be the same without her presence in 5th grade.
KEEP WENDY WEEKS! She actually cares about the kids and understands how to reach them. Huge mistake if she leaves.

Mrs. Weeks is the best teacher my son ever had. Why would they let her go? This is ridiculous.
