SturQuest Community Petition – Derelict land adjacent to Old Market Hill, Sturminster Newton. We the undersigned believe that the state of the derelict land adjacent to Old Market Hill, Sturminster Newton, adversely affects the local amenity by reducing the value of both housing and businesses in the centre of Sturminster Newton and deterring visitors to the town.
We therefore demand that NDDC Planning Department takes immediate action against the landowner using its powers under Section 215 of the Town and Country Planning Act, to require them to tidy up the site.
