The board has officially moved to dissolve the organization and redistribute its remaining assets to the communities that were harmed. This outcome confirms that accountability is not merely a hope but a tangible requirement for those working in maternal mental health. I am grateful to everyone who stayed focused on …

Postpartum Progress has a history of causing harm toward Black women and women of color. It is time for accountability. We demand that the board execute one of the following options as a means of demonstrating their commitment to change. We stand united as mental health professionals, activists, writers, and survivors of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. We DEMAND Postpartum Progress make it right!

Option 1: Remove CEO from non-profit and remove board who have failed to hold her accountable over multiples instances. Hire new CEO after new board, that is reflective of the community of maternal mental health [i.e. intersectional and inclusive], is established.

Option 2: Dissolve the non-profit that was built for white women that has a legacy of continued harm against women of color. Use all liquid assets to pay reparations to the staff/volunteers (of which there is a list) that were harmed, fund the Mental Health in Color scholarship recipients who are losing their scholarships because of said harm, invest the remainder of money into organizations that center the lives of Black women in the maternal mental heath realm that are Black led.

When Katherine "apologized" publicly a few years ago to a friend of mine for treating her similarly, I chose to believe she was sincere. Recent events show me that I was incorrect. If that apology had been sincere, it would've engendered the kind of action that would've prevented this from happening again. Very disappointed. Make it right.

As a mother, a Woman of Color, and a black professional providing care to Women who look like me, my children and my community, I stand with Graeme and Jasmine on their efforts for dismantling a system that isn't just for US-women of color.

I am a warrior mom who thought Postpartum Progress was doing a great thing. It pains me to know that they weren't doing a great thing for *all* moms. I realize now that I am a warrior mom because of my sisters, and I stand by them. I will not stand for or support hate. Hire a new CEO and replace the board.

It is unconscionable for an organization that purports to care about women to not actually live that in practice because of the inability of some of its members to challenge and change their aggressive bias & behavior. No organization that harms women of color should be allowed to continue unchecked.

It's unfortunate that it has come to this, but the organization serves so many women and has the potential to serve and save so many more that if fixing it requires an exit of the staff and board, the greater good must prevail. To truly help all women, we must center our most marginalized.

As a Warrior Mom, I find the treatment of my fellow Warrior Moms (who happen to be WOC) completely unacceptable. I would support either option outlined here, but I would prefer Option 1, with Jasmine and Graeme in new leadership roles. (If they wish to do so.)

This is extremely disappointing and needs to be made right. All women...and I mean ALL deserve the same respect.
