In Solidarity with Re:Vision Promotoras: A Call for Accountability
We, the undersigned, stand in solidarity with the current and former Promotoras, staff, and community members who have bravely spoken out about allegations of harm caused by the current Executive Director’s leadership at Re:Vision.
We are calling on the Board of Directors to act with urgency, transparency, and care.
We support the demand for:
- An independent third-party investigation
- Immediate protections from retaliation for those speaking out
- A clear and public response from the Board
We believe in the mission of Re:Vision. We believe the community deserves accountability. And we believe that healing is only possible when the truth is acknowledged and addressed.
We are asking the Board of Directors to listen and take action.

Nosotras, las firmantes, nos solidarizamos con las Promotoras, el personal y los miembros de la comunidad — actuales y anteriores — que han alzado la voz con valentía sobre las denuncias de daño causadas por el liderazgo de la actual Directora Ejecutiva de Re:Vision.
Hacemos un llamado a la Mesa Directiva para que actúe con urgencia, transparencia y cuidado.
Apoyamos las siguientes demandas:
- Una investigación independiente por parte de un tercero externo
- Protección inmediata contra represalias para quienes han hablado
- Una respuesta clara y pública por parte de la Mesa Directiva
Creemos en la misión de Re:Vision. Creemos que la comunidad merece rendición de cuentas. Y creemos que la sanación sólo es posible cuando se reconoce y se aborda la verdad.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. I’ve heard from several people at her previous job that similar complaints were made. This makes me believe there is a pattern of behavior.
The promotora model and the promotoras of Revision are the driving force of dignity, change, and uplifting the community. To have their expertise, dedication and hard work undermined isn’t just mistreatment, it goes against everything ReVision stands for. Something has to change.
I live in Athmar park and love the work that Re:Vision has done for our community, but I am shocked and angered that the staff have been treated this way and that the values have been eroded. It’s completely unacceptable to repeat systems of harm on the community grassroots level. The board has a responsibility to the community to do better.
This is extremely disappointing and disheartening to receive this news. My heart and support go out to the Las Promotoras, who I have witnessed firsthand their hard work and dedication at the community garden. As a donor, I pledge my support by choosing to hold any future financial donations until I have seen the change needed in RE:vision.
Mayra Fabiola is my sister and I support the petition to conduct a third party investigation into the conduct of Mariana Del Hierro and address issues surrounding the hostile work environment, protect promotoras and Re:Visión employees from retaliation.
I hope you all get the investigation you deserve
