Hausmann has resigned from the board. It was a long fight to reach this point but your refusal to be silent finally forced the issue. I am weary from this process yet relieved we reached the accountability we needed.
Jo Lynn Hausmann is not fit to be a trustee in the Keller ISD school board. She made a comment about a Muslim being elected to the Southlake city council. I do not trust her to make decisions in an important position that she holds. I will not send my kids to the Keller ISD . If she has such a disrespect for for others, children will suffer in that school district.
The emails I receive from concerned families keep me going even when the silence from the school board is overwhelming. I am currently spending my evenings documenting every instance of neglect to present to the district leadership. This path is exhausting but we cannot back down now.

The momentum behind this is heavier than I ever expected. Seeing so many people recognize the danger here keeps me going even when the days feel long.

The school board is elected to represent ALL families, not just a chosen few. We, the parents trust them to act fairly in all aspects of the educational system, including fairness and acceptance of everyone. How can someone with so much hate be trusted to work with parents and students in enforcing their own ISD policies regarding non discrimination? This is hypocrisy at its best!

Her resignation is the least KISD could do for people of all denominations. We all deserve to live in a world without narrow-minded thoughts and quick tongue. She is supposed to represent everyone in the school zone, but clearly she doesn't. Her departure will bring balance to the board. Not to mention peace.

Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from repercussions.
This would teach a good lesson to students. Zero tolerance for hate rhetoric. Frankly, those she say support her are of the same ilk. Those I'm sure who call themselves Christian yet participate in hate filled rhetoric.
Do we really want our country to slide back down that trashy slope? Aren't we trying to be a better society and root out all the evil and hate? This woman, is the definition of hate. She is ignorant and full of hate. That's a dangerous person to have in charge of decisions inre children.
Disgusting, I have no words. I cannot believe this new member has to siton the same dais as this beast! How hhorrible and insensitive.

So tired of these people thinking they can say whatever they want and keep their job. Public servants need to be held to a higher standard than this garbage.

This is completely unacceptable for someone in a leadership position. My kids go to KISD and I dont want them around this kind of small minded bigotry. She needs to go.

WOW. Just wow. Hate has no place in our schools. If you represent our children you better be able to respect everyone regardless of their religion. Resign already.
