we actually pulled it off and the ftb is moving us back to 100 percent telework. i am seriously blown away by the support and want everyone to enjoy this win we earned together. lets keep watching to make sure the transition goes smoothly and they stick to their word.

Final supporters
In just the last several weeks as FTB has required employees report to work at Central Office, we've seen an increase in the number of COVID cases on campus. Not surprisingly, when they doubled the required number of days in office, the case count jumped dramatically.
We have proven we are just as, if not more, productive working a 100% telework schedule. For our safety and for the protection of our families and loved ones, we demand a return to the telework schedules we used during the height of the pandemic AND for those whose work demands their physical presence be properly spaced apart and provided high-grade masks and sanitizing products while in the office.

I'm ok with one day a week in office., with masking and testing. But two days a week has led to astronomical case rates. In fact, case rates in FTB are higher than FTB reports because coworkers who test positive outside of FTB test center are excluded from office case counts.
It seems the "FTB culture" does not conform to the governor's directives (outbreak prevention, more savings, reduced traffic congestion and pollution, energy conservation, etc.). Data does not show Productivity and Operational needs have been impacted by Teleworking.
I live with people that are elderly and are at risk of losing their lives to covid. I know I am able to accomplish all of my tasks remotely while also not risking catching covid in office that could threaten my parents and grandparents lives.
LA1B (Montecito), ITS 1 This can't continue the way it has. It is unacceptable and unethical to demand that we potentially harm ourselves and others for the sake of "preserving FTB culture". No workplace culture is worth the unnecessary spread of a global pandemic.
We've teleworked successfully for 2.5 years. There's no reason to return to the office and with 1/5 people who recover developing Long Covid, it's simply immoral to force workers back into poorly ventilated offices.

Exclusively teleworking has improved my mental and physical health, along with my relationships with my family and friends, as I now have more time to see and interact with them. I pollute less, drive less, waste less because I spend more time at home and I am more efficient. I'm happier and more positive about my career, all while being just as, if not more, productive than before teleworking. The best part, I dont expose myself and others to potentially deadly diseases that have killed nearly a hundred thousand Californians. The downside? FTB "culture" has been negatively affected. Does FTB really want a culture that stands opposed to all of the positives listed above? It is literally a toxic, unhealthy culture. SF, 3rd Fl. Pacific Heights

I am more productive at home, where there are no interruptions and everything is close by. Wasting our personal time commuting to sit on our laptop on MS Teams (just as we would do at home) makes no sense and is endangering our health.
