Hello everyone,

We the men of the Eta Kappa chapter apart of Delta Sigma Phi have been placed on suspension by our school Greek Life Coordinator. The following reasons are as follows:

1. Painting the rock- we as a chapter painted the rock at our school for our Founder's Day and we come back to school the next morning with it painted over. Someone graffitied over our reserved time on the rock for our founders day and out of frustration we painted it during the day at school. While painting we wrote on the rock blaming our rival, and then shortly after covered it. We assumed it was our rival fraternity which was a mistake on our part. We acted out on a specific group which was our fault. But later on, we also got painted over the next time we painted the rock, but we showed NO anger or frustration because we realized people don't respect us on our campus.

2. Broomball- one of our broomball games we had during intramurals with Theta Tau, another fraternity on campus, ended with wrestling at the end over disagreements. It ended very quickly and the game ended with us speaking with one another and shaking hands, recognizing that it is just a game and also a contact sport that you can not avoid.

3. Dancing and playing music at Greek Info Night- during Greek info night for the winter semester potentials, all Greeks were in Kochoff Hall at 8pm, gathering to induct people into our Greek community. We thought it would be a great idea to turn on music and have a little fun during the event, and we did. With the music on, we had a couple brothers dancing on a table, continuing with all Greeks dancing to the tunes and started having a great time. Everyone seemed to respond to the music and have a good time.

Conclusively, we are merely pointing out how we are looking at these events. All that sign this petition we are assuming you support our reasons behind each situation. We are not trying to cause any unnecessary drama, but merely fighting for our spot on our campus. We take everything with a grain of salt and we would like your support in fighting the reasons they put us on suspension for!

We thank you all for your support in advance, we love our campus and we hope it prospers. Our goal in the end is just that we'll be apart of the growth and positive endeavors at the University of Michigan-Dearborn

Removing Delta Sigma Phi from campus, for even a semester, is taking away from the already small amount of campus life we have here at UM Dearborn. Also, their suspension seems excessive.

I saw them hosting a philanthropy event every day for an entire week last semester... Im sure they have plenty to offer the campus

Please allow these young gentlemen another chance at a full robust college experience with responsibility, respect, and dignity. Most Sincerely, Dr. Kirk David Duncan

Three very minor incidents that shouldn't result in a suspension of a fraternity. Simply an abuse of authority.

I support you all! This seems like such a foolish reason to be suspended! There are other ways to be punished rather than completely taking them off campus!

The gentlemen of Delta Sigma Phi at UMD have positively influenced me and my time at UMD more than I ever imagined possible. Just talk to a few of them and you'll understand why the best lessons I've gotten on trust, confidence, and respect come from them. Best wishes Eta Kappa and thank you for all you do for me!

Good luck, before you vote, Hope you Remember Racist Joe Biden’s famous quote "If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you Ain't Black," translation, If You Don’t Vote for Me, ‘You Ain’t Black’, that said, All Black Americans should wake up and challenge the ill-educated anti-American BLM to explain HOW looting and rioting, arson attacks on private businesses , rampant violence and lawlessness protesting, stomping and burning the U.S.A. flag, vandalizing and toppling Civil War statues and monuments, there by Erasing the History of the Pro-slavery, Spread Hating, and currently the True Racist Democratic Party which was Proudly Known Historically as The Slaveholding Confederate States of America, stop blacks from murdering each other in record numbers every weekend in Democrat-run cities and states ONLY? Why does BLM believe black lives ONLY matter when they are harmed or killed by a white person, especially a white cop and not by black hoodlum? (Think) Where are the multitude of protesters, mourners, and televised funeral services from BLM for the deaths of Black men, women, children, and cops killed by black thugs across America's major cities? The truth is BLM does not care about blacks as more Black Americans are killed by blacks then by cops. Well, the fact is, All Lives Matter (ALM). It is Sad, Insulting, and Degrading that Black Americans Today after all this Years have Forgotten (Think) who the Real Racists have Been and Continue to be, namely, the Democrats.
