Hello, I am sending this to you asking you to sign this petition to keep Greek Life out of Mercyhurst. Mercyhurst upholds strong traditions of community and engagement, with a focus on student life. With thriving numbers of students attending here, I ask you to sign this in order to preserve what the sisters of Mercy intended for this school. Mercyhurst allows for RSCO's, which are clubs, to form if they bring it before the MSG Senate, and if the students who wish to form a social club similar to a fraternity, maybe this would be a better avenue for them. Join this petition for you, for all of us students, and for the Mercyhurst Core Values.

The feedback I have received from students reflects a genuine concern for the long-term character of our campus. I am currently drafting a formal document to present these collective perspectives to the administration. We remain committed to preserving the values that define our community.

The steady growth of this petition reflects a shared commitment to the enduring values of our university. This momentum confirms that preserving our traditions remains a priority for many within our community.

I don't want this kind of environment on my campus. Many of us chose Mercyhurst because it doesn't have Greek life. If someone wants a fraternity, they should have gone to one of the thousands that already has them.

Greek life is the number one danger to women on campuses. Rape and sexual assault numbers sky rocket with the presence of Greek life. Mercyhurst needs to take care of its women.

I love our tradition of following the work done by our founding Sisters. Our clubs work hard to focus on giving to others and building unbreakable friendships.

My mom & I both went to Mercyhurst and now my daughter is going there. Mercyhurst is a unique and beautiful school and campus! Mercyhurst has a ton of activities for their students...there is no need for Greek on our campus. Change can be a good thing, but in this case it will not be! It is a proven fact that with Greek life, comes trouble...not always, but a lot of the time. Please keep our beautiful school the way it is.

Mercyhurst NOT having Greek life was a huge reason I chose the school. If they had it I highly doubt I would have attended. And I loved my time. There is already plenty to get involved with.

This was one of the things I loved about this school. It made the environment much more tolerable for those of us serious about our studies and furthering our education.
