In just 10 days police have been called to 30 reported drug overdoses, to include 6 deaths in Fayette County, OH, population 28-thousand. Most of the time when a "state of emergency" is called it pertains to a storm of epic proportions, violent riots, etc. We believe that 6 deaths in 10 days caused by drug use is catastrophic. As you know, when a "state of emergency" is called, resources are more readily available and can drastically help in a dire situation. Please take into consideration our plea, being that we are one of the poorest counties in Ohio-we need support only you can give.

The response to this has been heavier than I expected because the pain in our community is just that deep. It is exhausting to keep pushing when the tragedy keeps happening but seeing this many people acknowledge the reality of our situation keeps me moving forward.

Our community needs help in fighting this drug epidemic, children are losing their parents and mothers and fathers are watching their children die, these drug suppliers need to be stopped and held accountable! Those with an addiction problem need to know that there is help out there for them.
This is a very bad problem here in our town. I have 3 grandkids one in high school (9th grade) one in middle school (7th grade) and one in intermediate school (5th grade) This makes me scared knowing that they see this and I PRAY daily for their protection...
The drug/overdose problem has gotten way out of control in this community. When the law enforcement can't stop it from coming into the jail then how can they stop it in the streets? Too many lives are being lost and destroyed. Something drastic needs to happen and like now!
My biggest concerns are for the children being left in these addicts homes. We need more resources to help these kids living w this.
I'm raising triplets who suffered drug addicted mother/father during pregnancy. This county needs urgent assistance on the drug overdoses.
I think there needs to be more focus on prevention. Waking people up and stopping them before they need the Narcan. People need to understand if they make the choice to try heroin it will be a death sentence or a lifelong battle there is no in between.
This is the town I grew up in. I have family that live there. Nieces and nephews that are in grade school. I fear for them just being in a town with such a problem. Hope something/someone can help!

My sister just died of a heroine overdose on February 7 2017 something needs to be done she had been clean for a year an a half and left behind a 15 year old son
