The first step in the process of this happening is to show Conwy County Borough Council that it'something that people actually want. So, if you would like to see Station Road opened up once more please sign our petition.

I was just walking down Station Road today watching people struggle with their heavy bags and it really hit me how much easier a quick hop out of the car would make things for everyone involved. Some folks have been stopping me in the street to ask about the next steps and honestly I am just typing up a long draft for the council office because they need to understand that this is about keeping our town center alive and functional.

My wife cannot walk very far at all, but if it was opened to traffic she would visit the shops like Factory Outlet and boots if we could park outside, she hasnt been to the bay since it was pedestrianized
Having broken my leg a year ago and still having to use a walking stick being able to park would help me pop in to shops I haven't seen for a long time!
If this doesn't happen how much longer will it be before WH Smiths closes? People parking outside will mean more footfall and therefore more sales. About time the councilors did something useful!
It has been proved that the predestination of Station Road has not worked out as was forecasted. The road is nearly always empty of shoppers and the shops that are left are struggling to keep going. Time now to listen to the people who use Colwyn Bay and allow cars to park on Station Road before it becomes a complete ghost town.
I am one of the owners of Eateasy Cafe on Station Road and am more than happy to sign this in the hope that it might make a difference and that someone in the Council might take notice!!

This makes sense. On-street parking on both sides could possibly be maximised by diagonal spacing rather than parallel to pavement on a one-way street. Possibly a mini-roundabout at the bottom, by the station.
