I am a parent of a child(ren) that are enrolled to attend Discovery Charter School in 2017-2018.
It is *critical* to have consistent leadership in order to continue building a successful school.
The DCS Board shall re-sign Dan Hurley to a 2-Year Contract ASAP, or I will seriously consider alternate arrangements to educate my child(ren).

I have been hearing from so many of you who are worried about the instability this uncertainty creates for our kids. My own children deserve a steady environment and I am pushing the board to recognize that their current silence is failing the entire school community.

Considering the disappointment and confusion surrounding Dan Hurley's removal, the school board needs to provide clarity on why this action was in the best interest of the students. It certainly app reads that he has been an asset to this school in its critical first year.
I have 3 children set to be enrolled in the 2017-18 School year, and I am disappointed to hear that this is happening. Dan Hurley was a HUGE part of our decision to enroll the Haas & Radunz children in our home at your school. Please reconsider your decision to remove Dan Hurley as the Director.
As a new parent coming into this school, I am enraged by this decision. Dan is the #1 reason we decided to enroll our son at DCS. His passion for the school, the children, their future brought tears to our eyes. Dan is DCS. There is no DCS without him.
Dan is the reason my kids are at this school and is the reason my youngest 2 will continue at this school. I feel what the board did was horrible. Something like this should have a lot of discussion with the parents before being decided. I really hope they reverse their decision and reinstate Dan.
Mr.Hurley was the reason I signed my two children (grades 4&1 2018-2019) last year. He walked me through the nearly finished gymnasium at the time, Mr.Hurley has won the love and respect of the children and families of the school. He deserves, my children deserve to still have Mr. Hurley for the upcoming years.
My Daughter loves DAN very much She thinks he is good with the kids. Not sure if she will like the school if he leaves. Hope the right decision will be done for the safety and future of our children.

I am completely disturbed that this has happened. Dan Hurley did such an amazing job at directing and running Discovery Charter school. My daughter loves this school and if he's not here. We well not be either.
