STAND and the Sudan Divestment Task Force jointly support the initiative for DC to divest. This model of divestment targets specific corporations who have strong financial ties with the Sudanese government, where the companies\' revenue goes predominantly to military spending in the Sudanese government. These corporations provide little to no support to the neglected and desperate regions of Sudan. These companies have failed to offer socially responsible solutions regarding these aforementioned issues affecting Darfur.
