The reach of this petition has hit a point where we can now move toward formal engagement with the organization. I have drafted a request for a meeting with the front office to discuss the permanent retirement of this number. Further updates regarding their response will be provided as soon as I receive them.

It is been way too long. Retire the number.
Long overdue. He was a huge part of the early years in WBS. Show some respect and put that jersey in the rafters already.
YES. RETIRE 5!!!!
I remember watching him play back in the day. Such a tragic loss for the whole hockey community. Do the right thing Wilkes Barre.
Still cant believe its been this long. Darcy was a great player and deserved better. This is the least the organization can do for his family.
