Unfotunatley Cradle Fans. Dani filth has been cheated. I have made petition,so people can realise how much this means to the fans. Even people who are not fans of the band think this is surley a fresh plate of govermental turd.

 In an outrageous demolition of democracy, the Suffolk tourist board have ignored 13,000 votes and will NOT be crowning the Cradle Of Filth frontman as Suffolk’s ultimate Icon.This one’s an absolute shocker. After polling six times as many votes as his closest advisery, Cradle Of Filth frontman Dani Filth has been removed from the voting to find Suffolk’s ultimate Icon.

 Tim Passmore, the interim chief executive of Choose Suffolk, said in a statement: “The idea of what constitutes an icon will always divide opinion and stimulate engaging debate (which was part of the project’s remit). “The finalist Icons have been selected because the judging panel believe they have a countywide resonance and are symbolic of Suffolk, and extend across the county and beyond its borders.

 “As a user-generated gallery, the site was designed to engage with visitors and encourage their participation. We are encouraged this remit has been successful. “However, while some of the images on the site may have gained a larger proportion of visitors’ votes, the judging panel felt that their list of finalists displays the required credentials to act as representative iconic images of Suffolk.”

Metal Hammer editor, Alexander Milas, has said: “According to Choose Suffolk, ‘the finalist Icons have been selected because the judging panel believe they have a countywide resonance and are symbolic of Suffolk, and extend across the county and beyond its borders.” “So, what, being a household name around the world and headlining festivals in front of tens of thousands of people doesn’t qualify? Heavy metal requires no validation, no approval, and no confirmation of its importance.

 It’s a state of mind and a way of life for us – always has been, always will be – but It’s outrageous that patent discrimination and monumentally silly things like this still go on. “This country has produced a cultural institution that’s over 40 years old and is now a global phenomenon with fans in every time zone. If it’s good enough for countless fans around the world, why isn’t it good enough for Choose Suffolk? Well, it isn’t. Good on them for proving their complete and utter irrelevance. Dani, you’re an icon in our book. Fuck ‘em.”
