Hi Hills Folks
I’m sick of nearly being run-over by cars when I’m out Cycling/Running between Mt Barker, Littlehampton and Nairne. There is NO safe cycling tracks or walk ways we can use.
This Petition is for those Hills Residents who would like the Council to “hurry up” and get a Bike/Walk/Run Trail (connector loop) around our local areas. Something substantial... like my 30Km Loop in my photos.
For those who do long-distance events, duathlons and even just to maintain good health, it would be fantastic if the Councils work together and connect the following towns via one trail loop!
Mount Barker
Littlehampton
Nairne
Woodside
Balhannah
Hahndorf and return to Mt Barker
It would be approx 40-50km loop and it would enable people to become more active, be able to visit places like Hahndorf for shopping (without taking their car) and overall just make our Community AWESOMELY healthy!
Please sign my Online Petition if you are a resident, and you would like the Council to “hurry up” and get this necessity underway.
Thank you in advance.
I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by how many people feel the exact same way about these roads. This momentum belongs entirely to you because I truly just started this out of frustration.

A walking cycling trail would be wonderful, somewhere safe to walk with my grandchildren. Good for everyone's health. Nairne roads are not conducive to walks.

Cyclist deaths and permanent injuries are on the increase. If local councils were to get on board with this they would not only be supporting healthy lifestyles but local tourism.

We need this ASAP. I would love to ride to work, Mt Barker to Nairne but it's just too scary on the roads.

It's been talked about for ages - time to get it happening! Running along Bald Hills Road is just too dangerous.

What a great idea, it would be so nice not to have to travel to other areas over an hour away sometimes, just to get a nice long, safe ride in. I’d love it and use it regularly.
