My grandfather is a wheelchair user. We spend time together by taking walks around our apartment building on Morrison Road. However, the lack of connectivity in a key area on Princes Street presents a major challenge. This reality is not only an inconvenience, but also a risk to both his safety and that of other pedestrians. With an ever-increasing ageing population, the demand for safer, more connected footpaths will only grow further. Therefore, this petition is a call to our local government (Ryde Council) to rectify this situation, by constructing an additional footpath as per the attached sketch. Not only will this increase the quality of life for people like my grandfather, but also promote a healthier lifestyle for everyone. Please sign this petition to voice your support and help make our neighbourhood safer and more accessible for all.

The footpath on the other side of this section of Princes has steps in a number of places, adding to the problem faced by members of our community.

It's needed and as a rate payer it should be provided.
