The Vision
The vision of CV Link is for the project to meet four design principles that serve as guidelines toward project goals and ideals for the Coachella Valley. CVAG along with the design team working on the project have endeavored to fulfill that vision. 1) Foster Connection
- Establish the CV Link as a physical connection between neighborhoods, communities, and amenities
- Bond people to destinations, culture, and the environment as well as to other people in the Coachella Valley
- Make access to the parkway effortless, taking advantage of existing road intersections and adjacencies, to grant easy access to patrons residing on both sides of the Whitewater Storm Channel

About: The Coachella Valley has long had a need for a transportation route that will provide a safe, healthy alternative to Highway 111. CV Link will provide that alternative allowing residents and tourists alike the ability to bike, walk or take a low–speed electric vehicle for activities such as shopping, work, restaurant, golf, tennis and other activities. It will also provide a safe route for kids to go to school and a meeting place for community activities and events.
CV Link will provide significant environmental, health & wellness and economic benefits including:
- Relieving congestion on Highway 111 resulting in improved air quality
- Creating an exciting amenity for the tourism industry
- Providing a safe avenue for an active and healthy lifestyle helping to combat obesity
- Stimulating the economy with design and construction jobs

I was looking at the renderings again today thinking about how much safer everyone would be if we finally got those bikes off the main highway lanes. It feels like people just forget that we need actual space to move around this valley without being stuck in a car for every single trip I want to go grab a coffee or get to the park without worrying about traffic and I know I am not the only one feeling that way.

In the 30 years I've been coming to the desert, I've watched it become more and more rec friendly. More bike lanes, easier running paths - these make the area more appealing and safer. The CV is the logical next step.
I think CV Link will be a great asset for our valley by connecting all of our valley cities and providing a safe alternate route for pedestrians and cyclists.
CV Link = futuristic concept. It is not just for current citizens. As next-gen folks in other parts of the country gain wealth and retire, they will want to move here BECAUSE of CV Link.
This valley is in desperate need for safe cycling paths. Too many cycling deaths because of our high speed limits and lack of shoulders.
Long time coming-this CV link is vital to the valley and will attract people like me from far and wide. I come to the desert every year to ride (away from the Seattle rain) and this will take the area to another level-lets make this a reality
I rode on the CV Link this past Saturday and it's wonderful. I would like to see this uniting the entire Coachella Valley. We have to keep pushing the envelope to keep the Coachella Valley the shining star that it already is.

We need this to assist people with limited mobility. This is a safe option for myself (amputee) and others to get out and improve their health.
