We believe that Ogdensburg's city and school taxes are ruining our City. We hereby pledge to not vote for a member of council that does not pledge to lower our City tax rate from the present $20 per thousand down to $15 per thousand. We further will not vote for a school board member that does not pledge to lower our tax rate from the present $26 per thousand down to $19 per thousand.

Need to get a handle on expenses for both City and School District. Everyday people are leaving. Let's work together to bring this City back to what it once was. Thriving and a safe and well maintained community.
I just retired 3 years ago and the cost of maintaining our home is outrageous! We keep a new and well maintained home and have to pay for it! I'm proud to live in Ogdensburg but!!!!!!!! $$$$$$$ An other thing is the resale value of our fairly new home!!!!!
Let us pay what we deserve to be paying, not for lack of the fact that there are so many properties exempt from paying taxes that you are trying to “make up for that”... the tax payers shouldn’t be punished for that.
The elderly and disabled on fixed incomes will never be able to survive if the taxes are not lowered. It will become a choice of food, heat, lights, healthcare or taxes. Whatever will the city do with all the taxes that doesn't get paid because they chose to eat?
Enough is enough. 2 Principles in grade 1 thru 6. Isn’t that a lot of money. Schools cry for money. They only need one. Isn’t that top heavy. Also at City Hall is top heavy.
Taxes need to be lowered. It is cheaper to live on the river with 1 acre of land,than me living in the,city. Time to move out of city to the river
Lower taxes for the City of Ogdensburg. Get rid of dead wood on City pay roll and save City money. I have already voted for Mike Skelly, John Rishe, Bill Dillabough, Steve Fisher and Mike Powers. “TIME FOR A POSITIVE CHANGE”

When I lived in L.A., my house was assessed at over $400K and my combined property/school taxes were $160 a month. Here in Ogdensburg, my house is assessed at $60K and school/property taxes are $250 a month. Enough said!
