The City of Tampa is trying to strip away the essential parts of our park just to save a few dollars. These bureaucrats clearly have no idea what it is like to actually live downtown and they seem perfectly happy to ignore our needs.

The momentum behind this petition is undeniable and the City of Tampa is finally feeling the heat. They think they can strip our park for parts to save a buck but they clearly underestimated how much we value our public space.

SERIOUSLY? Cutting the canoe rentals? Downtown needs more activities on the water not fewer.
Fix the budget elsewhere. Don't take away the one thing that makes living in the city center enjoyable.
A misting station is a must in this humidity. Tampa summers are brutal and we need the shade/water features.
Living downtown is hard enough without having to drive 20 mins just to let the dog out. keep the dog park part of the plan!
This park was supposed to be the jewel of the city. dont cheap out on us now.

we need more amenities downtown not less. why build a park halfway? just do it right the first time.
