Further to that they have breached the data protection act and passed out all 900+ emails to each pre-order customer. As a result of that we have been in contact with one another to demand compensation.
Many of us have bought these as Christmas presents for others and don't have the funds to buy other presents in the interim.
We understand that Apple have not fulfilled their promise to Currys, however Currys should NEVER have guaranteed us delivery for the same week we ordered. I suspect most of us would never have given them our money had they not given false guarentee on delivery dates.

The volume of entries received confirms that this issue extends far beyond a few isolated cases. I am now compiling these accounts into a formal briefing for the consumer rights regulatory body. Please expect an update on the official contact process later this week.

Absolute joke. They have my money and no iPad to show for it. Never shopping with Currys again.
Ridiculous that they just gave out everyone's email addresses like that. Data protection laws mean nothing to these people apparently.
Totally unacceptable. I needed that iPad for a present and now I'm out of pocket and empty handed. Unbelievable.
If they didn't have the stock they shouldn't have taken the orders. Simple as that. Stop lying to customers about delivery dates.
Was supposed to be a gift for my daughter. Thanks for ruining Christmas and holding my cash hostage meanwhile.
