The proposal for the cellphone tower has been officially withdrawn. It is a relief to know that the character of our cemetery will remain undisturbed. I appreciate the steady attention so many of you gave to this issue because it ensured our local history remained a priority.
We the undersigned oppose the construction of a cellphone tower on Rock Ledge Rd in Nelsonville, NY overlooking the historic ad beautiful Cold Spring Cemetery
While we all need cell phone reception, a cellphone tower with it's needed access road and space does not need to be so close to a small community. Surely a more acceptable site can be found.

A cellphone tower here would be so out of place in this beautiful spot. Constructions like this can gradually destroy the historic character of Cold Spring that makes it special.

My Husband's parents and other relatives are buried at the Cold Spring Cemetery and is a very meaningful and historically significant place for many more reasons. The landscape design and variety of rare trees is a treasure that should not be diminished by a cell tower!

I live close to the Cold Spring Cemetery and walk through as often as I can. It is a beautiful serene place that is a gift to this community as well as the families who have loved ones buried there. A cell tower is ill-advised in this location.

This community has no need for another tower, especially in the center of it and by the historic place like this cemetery AND near the school. We are united in saying NO to this location.

The installation of this grotesque tower overlooking the hallowed grounds of this historically significant cemetery is an abomination. This community is prepared to work with the cell companies to site the tower in an appropriate location that would not sully this bucolic location and dishonor the memories of our ancestors.

Please do what is right for the preservation of our community's history. These landmarks are unique and once they are lost, they are lost forever.

Not against data towers as a whole, I believe better planning is in order- look at every cemetery in Queens
