The council confirmed that the new pedestrian crossing for Crown Hill is officially approved. Walking my kids to school won't be the terrifying ordeal it used to be. I am keeping a close eye on the construction schedule to ensure they follow through.
With a growing population and concerns about the speed of traffic and residents' safety, we, the undersigned, ask Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council to finally install a 'controlled' pedestrian crossing along Crown Hill.
Seeing 500 signatures on this petition makes me think of all the times I have gripped my child's hand tightly while crossing that dangerous stretch of road. This support proves I am not the only one scared for our neighborhood safety.

Seeing one hundred people sign this confirms I am not the only one terrified to walk my kids across Crown Hill. It feels incredible to know this neighborhood cares enough to push for a safer road.

Heavy traffic area, often speeding cars. This road has a community hall, scout hall, gym and nursery school on it and no safe way to cross for pedestrians, particularly children and the elderly. Come on RCT Council, you know it makes sense!!

My son got hit by a car a year ago on Crown Hill It was a very serious incident. This road has become a key route between Llantwit Fardre and the by pass - traffic levels are huge and the speed limit is often exceeded. PLEASE ACT NOW.

This road is a very busy road and the speed of the traffic is on times quite alarming. I walk my children to school at Maesybryn Primary and this road needs to be crossed. It is a worry how fast the cars travel along this stretch. A crossing is desperately needed before there is an accident.

We need this crossing the road is busy and I raised this when consultations for the bypass were considered. Directing.more traffic down Crown Hill to access the bypass makes it hard to.cross and access the community.centre and school from the feeder estates

There is no safe place to cross all along this road and often there is speeding motorists. I would like a safe place to cross so that my children can go out independently when they are older without me worrying about them crossing that road. It is also a nightmare to cross when walking with young children and a dog!

I see many children crossing this road..many without an adult .
To catch or get off the school bus.
Walking to and from school....And
Accessing the many children's activity groups, that take place in the community centre.
We definitely need a crossing for the safety of all the children.
