The council just confirmed that both pedestrian crossings are being approved for installation. I am honestly stunned that this happened so quickly and it is entirely because you chose to speak up for our kids.

Parents of children attending the Ark Academy school Putney on Pullman Gardens have raised their concerns with the community team about no crossing on the way to school for the children. There have been complaints that drivers are driving too fast around the bend and not taking the childrens safety into consideration. Parents are anxious everytime their children go to school and come home which is unacceptable.

The Parents are asking that Wandsworth Council put a crossing between Carslake road and Hayward Gardens. This will ensure that children can cross tbe road safely and calm down speeding drivers.

Teachers at Ark Academy have reported that 4 children were knocked over after School at the Green man exchange. They're requesting for a crossing at the Green man exchange so that students are safe at the end of the day.

My lad is in the nurture unit in ark due to his speacial needs He has very little road sence & I sigh a sigh of relief each night he comes home safely The roads & lack of crossing scares me He attends school at different times I will only allow him to travel with his sister, when he starts late or finishes early I collect him Good luck

This crossing is very dangerous for all pupils coming in from Putney / Wandsworth / Southfields as the bus stops on the other side of the road. There is rarely a traffic break, a crossing is very much needed. Sarah Libbey

The children are in so much risk as they just cross anywhere possible , and this can be dangerous for the children, I don’t see any secure way for the children to cross the road , normally in Many schools I have notice there’s is this metal bars gate like separating the road and pavement, but at ark Putney there is no such. Thing in place

This is a no-brainer decision, with the amount of pupils needing to cross the road to catch a bus it is bewildering the Council hasn’t identified the need and placed the crossing before now. The continued absence of safe crossings in this area is a dereliction of the Council’s duty of care.

Children and their parents should feel confident that they will be safe for every minute between leaving home and returning at the end of the school day

With the amount of cars coming down Putney Heath, as well as all the busses it can be very congested At this location Crossing the road safely at peak time can be hazardous for all age groups and this crossing will help to improve the situation
