We the local community and regular visitors of the Cricketers Inn Kingsley declare that we support the Parish Councils Nomination of the Cricketers Inn as an Asset of Community Value and that this asset is critical to maintain the social wellbeing and interests of the local community.
The Parish Council continues to review the documentation regarding the nomination of the Cricketers Inn. I am currently preparing a formal letter that consolidates the perspectives shared by residents throughout this campaign. We remain focused on the preservation of this site as an essential community asset.

My father and mother are regulars. They are welcomed and cared for by the publican. It’s their weekly treat to go here. It provides a them with a sense of security and community. I know how much they would be devistated if they lost being able to go here. I welcome the petition to see this establishment maintained.

I don't use the pub on a regular basis as I'm no social butterfly. But I have never been made to feel unwelcome even though I'm not a regular. My daughter has worked there for a while now and it has changed her from a shy girl into a confident, outgoing young lady. Take away the pub and you take away the heart of the village!

A pub in a community is vital.... it certainly helped me integrate into the village community when I moved to Kingsley as a single parent 8 years ago. However it needs to be run well, good beer, well maintained and welcomjng as it used to be! Save it and get it up to scratch and it will be used fully again, of that I have no doubt!

I would hate to see the pub close, it is an essential asset for our community. We have got to know so many people in the village especially through events such as Ladies night and carol singing.

The pub building has has been the centre of the village for at least 400 years, and during many periods since then has proved to be at the centre of village life, It has been in recent years and can be again.

This is a vital asset to the community events I have organised there have raised over £4000 for local & national charities by bringing the community together in social activities. I have met many lifelong friends there and would not have done if the facility did not exist as there are no other venues which are open in the evening in the vicinity

Please don't close Cricketer's Inn Kingsley. It's a nice place and vital to the community and contentment and recreation of its residents.
